2. Information users provide
- Name and email
- Account information
- Support messages and chosen attachments
- Purchase, order, and transaction-reference information
3. Authentication information
Passwords must not be stored in readable form and are protected through the existing secure password-hashing process. Tarango will not ask users to email passwords, OTPs, or payment credentials.
4. Account data
Records may include an internal account ID, plan, account status, registration or update timestamps, and information needed to operate the account.
5. License information
Tarango may process Free or Pro status, activation state, entitlement details, and related records needed to provide and protect licensed access.
6. Device-related licensing information
Privacy-conscious device-derived information may be processed to recognize an eligible PC, enforce the one-PC policy, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot activation. Security-sensitive fingerprint methods are not disclosed.
7. Voice input
When a user chooses online voice recognition, audio may be transmitted to the relevant processor. Tarango does not intentionally retain voice input longer than necessary unless a feature explicitly requires storage.
8. Selected text
When a user invokes translate, rewrite, reply, AI processing, read-aloud, or translated read-aloud, selected content needed for that requested operation may be processed.
9. AI, translation, and speech providers
Some requested content may be sent to third-party providers needed to complete the selected function. Their applicable terms and privacy practices may also govern their handling.
10. Payment information
Tarango does not intend to store full card numbers, CVVs, payment PINs, or full credentials. Providers may process those details. Tarango may retain order ID, transaction reference, amount, currency, status, and timestamps.
11. Cookies and sessions
The website may use cookies or sessions needed for secure sign-in, account continuity, preferences, and abuse protection. Browser settings may affect essential account functions.
12. Security and audit data
Security events and limited audit data may be processed to protect accounts, investigate failures, prevent fraud, enforce licensing, and maintain integrity.
13. How information is used

14. Legal and business basis

15. Sharing of information
Tarango does not sell customer personal data. Information may be shared only as needed with infrastructure, payment, AI, translation or speech providers, professional advisers, or legal authorities where required.
16. Data selling
Tarango does not sell user personal information to advertisers.
17. Data retention
Account, licensing, transaction, support, fraud-prevention, security, accounting, and compliance records may be retained for reasonably necessary periods based on purpose and applicable obligations.

Users may request deletion at tarango.software@gmail.com, preferably from the registered email. Ownership may be verified without asking the user to send a password.
19. Records that may remain
Limited payment, accounting, fraud-prevention, license-enforcement, security, dispute, or legally required records may remain where reasonably necessary.
20. Data security
Tarango uses reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the service and information handled. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, so users should protect devices and credentials.
21. Children's privacy
Tarango is a general productivity tool and is not intentionally designed to collect unnecessary personal information from children. A parent, guardian, or responsible person may contact Tarango with a concern.
22. International and third-party processing
Some providers may process information on infrastructure outside Bangladesh. Where needed for a requested feature, Tarango seeks appropriate services and limits information to what is reasonably necessary.
23. User responsibility
Avoid entering passwords, payment credentials, government IDs, confidential business secrets, health data, or other highly sensitive information unnecessarily into connected workflows.
24. Third-party links
External links are governed by their respective operators' content and privacy practices. Review those policies before providing information.
25. Policy updates
Tarango may revise this policy as features, providers, security practices, or legal requirements change. Material revisions update the Last Updated date.
26. Tarango for Windows (desktop app)
This section explains what the Tarango Windows app (including the version distributed through the Microsoft Store) accesses on your PC.
Microphone
The app uses the microphone only while you are actively dictating: when you hold the voice-typing key (Left Alt), use the voice-typing shortcut, or press the microphone button. Audio is not recorded in the background and is not saved by the app after the text is produced.
Where your voice is processed
- Local (offline) recognition: with the Local Whisper engine, speech is converted to text entirely on your PC. No audio leaves your device.
- Online recognition: if you choose an online engine, the recorded clip is sent to that provider to be converted to text: Google Speech Recognition, Groq (Whisper), and, for correction or translation, Google Gemini. The optional ChatGPT correction feature uses a ChatGPT browser window that you sign in to yourself.
Keyboard input (Bangla phonetic keyboard)
When you turn on Bangla typing (F12), the app reads the keys you press so it can convert English letters into Bangla text as you type. It also watches the Left Alt key for hold-to-talk voice typing. Keystrokes are processed only on your PC, in memory, to produce the converted word. They are never recorded, saved, or sent to Tarango or any third party. The keyboard does not convert text in standard Windows password boxes. Turn Bangla typing off (F12) before typing passwords in websites.
Text reader (read aloud)
When you ask the app to read selected text aloud, that text is sent to Microsoft's online neural voice service to create the speech audio. Text you select for translate, rewrite, or reply is sent to the AI provider needed for that feature (for example Google Gemini or Groq).
Clipboard and typing into other apps
To read, translate, or rewrite selected text, the app copies the selection using the clipboard. To insert dictated or converted text, the app pastes or types it into the app you are using. Clipboard content is used only for the action you requested.
Data stored on your PC
- Settings and preferences.
- History of your dictation and reading (you can turn History off or clear it in Settings).
- API keys you enter for your own Groq or Gemini accounts. These are encrypted with Windows data protection and are used only to call those providers on your behalf.
- An encrypted licensing record used to remember your plan on this PC.
This data stays on your PC. Uninstalling the app removes it.
Microsoft Store
If you install Tarango from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft processes the download and any Store purchase under Microsoft's own privacy statement. Tarango does not receive your Microsoft account password or payment card details.
Third-party providers used by the app
Google (speech recognition, Gemini), Groq, Microsoft (neural voices), and OpenAI (ChatGPT, only if you use that optional feature). Each provider handles the content it receives under its own terms and privacy policy.
27. Contact
Privacy questions and deletion requests may be sent to tarango.software@gmail.com. Do not include passwords, OTPs, card details, payment PINs, or unnecessary sensitive data.
